Check-in from 3:00 PM. Check-out by 11:00 AM. Keys can be collected from our reception. If your arrival or departure is outside our opening hours, please arrange with us how you will receive/deliver the key when booking the cabin.

If you are unsure about our opening hours or it is closed when you come to us, call us at 46 665 665 and we will help you.

Breakfast is included in all overnight stays at our hotel. 

If you have booked accommodation in one of our cabins or apartments, breakfast must be ordered additionally. 

Breakfast is served from 07-10 in the restaurant every morning. 

Yes, we have some units where dogs are allowed, for an additional fee of NOK 500 per stay. You can easily book our dog rooms in our booking portal.

Yes, cleaning of the cabins is always included if the cabins are left in a tidy condition. Remember to bring all your belongings with you when you leave.

Yes, all our units are always prepared with linens for the number of beds needed.

All cabins and hotel rooms have free Wi-Fi. You will receive the necessary information upon check-in.

If you include firewood in your order when booking, it will be in the cabin when you arrive. It is also possible to purchase firewood at reception. 

All our cabins at Filefjellstuene are located ski in/out for Tørisheisen during parts of the ski season. If Tørisheisen is not open, you must either walk 15-20 minutes on the cross-country ski trail to the bottom of Kileheisen, or take the car 5 minutes up to Børrenøheisen.

The cross-country ski trails are located directly above the terraced cabins. 

Kongevegen passes right below the main building at Filefjellstuene. Eastwards the normal route is Øye Stave Church - Tyinkrysset.

The western leg from Filefjellstuene goes over Filefjell to Maristuen via Kyrkjestølen. Kyrkjestølen is located approx. 7.5 km from Filefjellstuene, and you can choose to walk Kongevegen straight from the door of Filefjellstuene to Kyrkjestølen, or book transport to Kyrkjestølen with us. 

Filefjellstuene is located approx. 25 km drive from Tyinholmen/Eidsbugarden. From the cabins at Filefjellstuene you must drive Fv53 up to Tyin and then follow Fv252 into Tyinholmen/Eidsbugarden.

In other words, it is entirely possible to stay at Filefjellstuene and combine your stay with day trips to famous hiking destinations such as Falketind and Uranostind.
